One of the first things you need to know when you’re starting out learning to sing, is how to do an effective warm up.
Not only will a good warm up protect your voice from potential injury but it helps you SOUND BETTER! Yep, its one of the easiest and most effective things you can do to start sounding better straight away.

Move Your Mouth

Activate Your Diaphram
Your instrument operates on AIR and your diaphragm is the ‘breathing muscle’, so use your warm up to activate it and start taking in deeper breaths.
Start Slowly, Don't Push Yourself
Warm ups take different lengths of time, depending on how much you have been singing and how ‘vocally fit’ you are. To avoid injury, start slow and don’t go for volume during your warm up. Just enjoy it! Its a great way to relax and get your mind and body ready to sing.
